Scholarships
Scholarships are provided by the Ò»Æð²Ý¹ÙÍø Higher Education foundation and outside sources to Ò»Æð²Ý¹ÙÍø. Scholarships vary from one semester, one year, and four years. Students must have at least at 2.5 High School or College GPA and enroll in at least 6 credit hours to be eligible.

Featured Scholarships
Part of Ò»Æð²Ý¹ÙÍø's Endowed Scholarship funding.
Eligibility
Applicants must reside in the Greater Ò»Æð²Ý¹ÙÍø Area (South and Mid-Jefferson County) and must be a high school senior. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen (Native born, naturalized, or in the process of naturalization), permanent resident, or legal resident alien.Award Amount
A one-time $1,000 award can be used for summer or fall right after high school graduation.Application

Eber W. Ephlin was a long-time resident of the Port Neches-Groves area of Southeast Texas and a strong supporter of Lamar institutions of higher education who established a trust fund on behalf of students upon his death in 1992.
Eligibility
Must be a graduate (past or present) of Memorial, Port Neches-Groves, or Woodrow Wilson high school. Must attend one of the four Lamar institutions in Southeast Texas.
Award Amount
$2,500 for Fall/Spring semester and $1,000 for summer, renewable annually based on continued recipient's eligibility and availability of funds.
Requirements
Must maintain a minimum 2.5 grade point average as a full-time student.

Eligibility
- Must begin study at Ò»Æð²Ý¹ÙÍø for freshman and sophomore level academic or career education programs of study.
- May pursue junior or senior level instructions at LU or at any other accredited college or university.
- Must maintain a 3.0 grade point average to remain eligible.
- May receive award up to 4 years.

Regional petrochemical and other industrial companies participate in the Ò»Æð²Ý¹ÙÍø Industry Group, funding this scholarship with community members confirming the recommended recipients. The Ò»Æð²Ý¹ÙÍø Higher Education foundation holds the funds for the scholarship.
Eligibility
- Must be a Ò»Æð²Ý¹ÙÍø Memorial High School graduate pursuing a degree in the area of Business, Science (excluding nursing), or Engineering. Student must reside in Port Arthur.
- Plan to attend Ò»Æð²Ý¹ÙÍø, Lamar University, LIT or a similar accredited college/ university on a full-time basis beginning with the fall semester immediately following graduation.
- Selected candidates must complete the Guaranteed 4.0 Program prior to starting their first semester of college/university. More information about the program will be given to PAIG scholarship recipients after they are awarded.
Award Amount
$2,500 each school year for a total of $10,000. ($1,250 per semester per student for eight consecutive semesters).

Applicants must submit an application, a letter of recommendation, a personal statement and high school transcript.

Students are awarded $1,500 each semester, up to $3,000 per year.

Must attend Ò»Æð²Ý¹ÙÍø full time, maintain a 2.5 grade point average, be a resident of Ò»Æð²Ý¹ÙÍø at the time of application
Application
Eligibility
Must be a first-generation student with financial need. Scholarship is renewable until graduation while funding is available.
Award Amount
Post-high school: $4,000 per academic year for full-time students or $2,000 for part-time students. Early College High School and Dual Enrollment Students: $2,000 per academic year and $1,000 for part-time students.
Requirements
Must maintain a 2.5 grade point average.
